Chagas is an infectious disease caused by a parasite known as Trypanosoma cruzi. The parasite is usually found in the feces of the reduviid bug. The host is exposed through cracks in the skin, mucosal membranes, and blood transfusion of infected personnel. Most infected people see a chancre at the inoculation site within 7-14 days after the tse-tse-fly bite.

Clinical  Symptoms & Manifestation of  (Chagas Disease)

During  the Acute stage, the Clinical symptoms include:

Reddening of the face. ( facial edema)

Painful swelling nodules.(Eyelid Swelling)

Rash.

Headache

Fever, arthralgia, malaise,

Lymphadenopathy

During the Chronic Stage, the Clinical Symptoms Include :

Insidious neurologic deficit

Daytime Somnolence

Arrhythmias

Congestive Heart failure
